China successfully launches manned space mission Shenzhou-11

China on Monday successfully launched its manned space mission Shenzhou-11 with two astronauts on board for a one month mission on the Tiangong-2 space station.

The Long March-2F rocket blasted off smoothly at 7.30am Monday local time (11.30pm GMT Sunday) from the Jiuquan launch center in northern Gansu Province, and is expected to dock with the space station in two days.
