The land-sea trade route between China and central Europe through the Greek port of Piraeus officially opened with the arrival of the first two Chinese goods trains to Hungary, official media reported Wednesday.

The containers were shipped from the eastern Chinese port of Ningbo to Piraeus by sea, and were then transported to Budapest in two trains that reached on Jan. 29 and Feb. 5, according to China's official People's Daily newspaper.
