Usain Bolt, the world's most charismatic athlete since the retirement of the American Carl Lewis, stormed to his eighth Olympic gold in his personal favorite, the men's 200m finals, in 19.78 seconds.

The victory takes Bolt closer to the historic triple-triple - combination of gold in the 100m, 200m and the 4x100m relay in three consecutive Olympics.
