The Turkish Interior Minister said the military operation launched early Wednesday in Syria against the Islamic State was also directed against several terrorist organizations, including Kurdish militias.
During an interview with state-run Anadolu Agency, Efkan Ala said the Islamic State iwas the operation's most important target, but that there were other terrorist groups that posed a threat to Turkey.
