Kenya to begin exporting oil by 2017, president says

On wednesday, Kenyan  authorities announced  oil production in the remote Kenyan region of Turkana county will begin to flow next year.
The announcement was made by the President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, who said production would begin in March 2017.
The Anglo-Irish Tullow Oil company is to begin oil production in the remote Kenyan region of Turkana county next year, officials said Wednesday.
