Hundreds observe artificial intelligence uses at Taipei tech conference

Hundreds of computing developers Wednesday gathered at the Marriott Hotel in Taipei for the two-day GPU Technology Conference (GTC).

The tech meet, hosted by visual computing company NVIDIA, is a showcase of new AI (artificial intelligence) developments using GPU (graphics processing unit) technology, a field pioneered by NVIDIA in 2007 that focuses on accelerating "deep learning, analytics, and engineering applications," according to NVIDIA's website.
