The United States and the European Union exchanged a large number of proposals linked to a huge free-trade deal between the two on Monday with a view to reaching agreements before President Barack Obama's term in office ends.
The meeting was the 14th round of negotiations for the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), a US-EU bilateral free trade and investment agreement encompassing half the world's economy.
