A Muslim prayer service drawing thousands of people was held here Thursday for boxing legend Muhammad Ali, who died a week ago at age 74.

Ali, who changed his name from Cassius Clay after converting to Islam in 1964, "made being a Muslim dignified," Sherman Jackson, an Islamic scholar from the University of Southern California, said during the service at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
